Chandelier Lyrics – Sia

Chandelier

Party girls don’t get hurt
Can’t feel anything, when will I learn?
I push it down, I push it down

I’m the one for a “good time call”
Phone’s blowin’ up, ringin’ my doorbell
I feel the love, feel the love

One, two, three, one, two, three, drink
One, two, three, one, two, three, drink
One, two, three, one, two, three, drink
Throw ’em back ’til I lose count

I’m gonna swing from the chandelier

From the chandelier
I’m gonna live like tomorrow doesn’t exist

Like it doesn’t exist
I’m gonna fly like a bird through the night

Feel my tears as they dry
I’m gonna swing from the chandelier

From the chandelier

But I’m holding on for dear life
Won’t look down, won’t open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light
‘Cause I’m just holding on for tonight

Help me, I’m holding on for dear life
Won’t look down, won’t open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light
‘Cause I’m just holding on for tonight
On for tonight

Sun is up, I’m a mess
Gotta get out now, gotta run from this
Here comes the shame, here comes the shame (ah)

One, two, three, one, two, three, drink
One, two, three, one, two, three, drink
One, two, three, one, two, three, drink
Throw ’em back ’til I lose count

I’m gonna swing from the chandelier

From the chandelier
I’m gonna live like tomorrow doesn’t exist

Like it doesn’t exist
I’m gonna fly like a bird through the night

Feel my tears as they dry
I’m gonna swing from the chandelier

From the chandelier

But I’m holding on for dear life
Won’t look down, won’t open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light
‘Cause I’m just holding on for tonight

Help me, I’m holding on for dear life
Won’t look down, won’t open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light
‘Cause I’m just holding on for tonight
On for tonight, on for tonight

‘Cause I’m just holding on for tonight
Oh, I’m just holding on for tonight
On for tonight, on for tonight
‘Cause I’m just holding on for tonight
‘Cause I’m just holding on for tonight
Oh, I’m just holding on for tonight
On for tonight, on for tonight

About Sia

In 1975, Sia Kate Isobelle Furler was born in Sydney, Australia. She is an Australian singer, songwriter, record producer, and music video director. In the mid-1990s, she started singing in the acid jazz band Crisp. Crisp disbanded in 1997, and she released her debut studio album titled OnlySee in Australia, but it failed to sell well. Leading vocals for the British duo Zero 7 were provided by her after she moved to London, England.

After releasing her second studio album, Healing Is Difficult, in 2000, Sia was dissatisfied with its promotion. Colour the Small One, her next studio album, failed to connect with a mainstream audience. A tour of the United States was organized by Sia after she relocated to New York City in 2005. We Are Born and Some People Have Real Problems were her fourth and fifth studio albums, respectively. While taking a hiatus from performing, she wrote songs for other artists, producing successful collaborations such as “Titanium” (with David Guetta), “Diamonds” (with Rihanna), and “Wild Ones” (with Flo Rida).

Sia finally broke through as a solo recording artist in 2014 with her sixth studio album, 1000 Forms of Fear, which topped the Billboard 200 and featured a trilogy of music videos featuring child dancer Maddie Ziegler. “Cheap Thrills” was her first Hot 100 number one single from her seventh studio album This Is Acting. In the same year, Sia performed her Nostalgic for the Present Tour. MTV Video Music Awards and ARIA Awards have been presented to Sia.

It contained eight live songs from Sia’s performance at the Bowery Ballroom in New York in April 2006 and one new studio recording called “Pictures”. She left Zero 7 on friendly terms a year later, being replaced by Eska Mtungwazi. Some People Have Real Problems, Sia’s fourth studio album, was released on 8 January 2008. In Australia, the album reached No. 41 and was certified gold by the Australian Recording Industry Association. As Sia’s first US charting album, it reached No. 26 on the Billboard 200.
