About Surf Curse

Los Angeles-based songwriters Nick Rattigan and Jacob Rubeck form Surf Curse, an indie rock recording project. Seeing Surf Curse live has become a right of passage for disaffected adolescence in the South-West, where Rattigan and Rubeck grew up between Las Vegas, Reno, and Los Angeles. Heaven Surrounds You is a coming-of-age epic inspired by the cult films they cherished throughout their youth that are referenced throughout the album. With their third full-length LP, Surf Curse add layers of polish to their traditionally rough and visceral sound. In the fall of 2018, Rattigan and Rubeck worked with veteran indie producer Jarvis Taveniere on their most lush and vulnerable record to date.
