Love, l-l-love, l-l-love
How you love to hate me
Kinda sad that you always been like that
See me making waves and you don’t like that
Driving through your puddles goin’ splish splash
(Splish, splash, splish, splash)
Stressing over nothing baby, relax
While you gettin’ angry, I’ma kick back
Only thing I think about is big stacks
(Racks, racks)
Negative days, negative nights
Baby, you’re wasting all your time
I can’t relate, I keep it light
No, no, no drama in my life
Wake up, yeah
Makeup, maybe
I need you, nah
I been good lately
Blowin’ up
Workin’ busy
You ain’t worth my love
If you only love to hate me
Love, l-l-love, l-l-love
How you love to hate me
Love, l-l-love, l-l-love
You ain’t worth my love
If you only love to hate me
I’ma let you fade into the background
Baby, all my shows are gettin’ too loud
Keep on turin’ it up when you want me down (me down, me down, me down)
Negative days, negative nights
Baby, you’re wasting all your time
I can’t relate, I keep light
No, no, no drama in my life
Wake up, yeah
Makeup, maybe
I need you, nah
I been good lately
Blowin’ up
Workin’ busy
You ain’t worth my love
If you only love to hate me
Love, l-l-love, l-l-love
How you love to hate me
Love, l-l-love, l-l-love
You ain’t worth my love
If you only love to hate me
Love to hate me, you hate to love me
I’m takin back what you’ve taken from me
You’re mistaken honey, this something that
Remind me why I be alone, on my own
If I needed you, I’d have you that I know, hold up
I could do bad by myself, don’t need help
One of a kind, the hand that I was dealt, like oh, well
Felt, Cupid was stupid, I should have knew it
‘Cause I been through it, you wouldn’t do it if it ain’t foolish, stupid
(Stupid)
You ain’t worth my love
If you only love to hate me
Love, l-l-love, l-l-love
How you love to hate me
Love, l-l-love, l-l-love
You ain’t worth my love
If you only love to hate me
Love, l-l-love, l-l-love
How you love to hate me
Love, l-l-love, l-l-love
You ain’t worth my love
If you only love to hate me
About BLACKPINK
Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa, and Rose make up the South Korean girl group Blackpink, formed by YG Entertainment.
They made their debut on August 8, 2016, with their single Square One, which spawned “Whistle,” their first number-one song in South Korea. In addition, their first number one on Billboard World Digital Songs chart, “Boombayah,” set a record for most-watched debut video for a Korean act. In their first five months, the group was hailed as the New Artist of the Year at the 31st Golden Disc Awards and the 26th Seoul Music Awards.
Career of BLACKPINK
On the Billboard Hot 100, Blackpink peaked at number 55 with “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du”, and on the Billboard 200, it peaked at number 40 with Square Up. Currently, they are the only K-pop girl group to top Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart. A number-one single on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart is also a first for a female K-pop group. “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” set a YouTube record for the most-viewed Korean music video in 24 hours when it was released.
Blackpink made their debut under YG Entertainment six years after 2NE1 with their debut single Square One, which was released on August 8, 2016. iKon’s Kim Hanbin, Teddy Park, and Bekuh BOOM wrote the first lead single, “Whistle,” which was produced by Teddy Park and Future Bounce. Teddy Park produced the second lead single, “Boombayah,” which was co-written by Bekuh BOOM. Seo Hyun-seung directed its music video. On the Billboard World Digital Songs chart, both title tracks charted at number one and two, making Blackpink the fastest Korean act to achieve that feat after Psy and Big Bang. In August 2016, Whistle topped the digital, download, streaming, and mobile charts on Gaon. In addition, the K-pop music video chart on China’s largest music-streaming website QQ Music ranked them number one as well as the weekly, popularity, and music video charts. The first performance of Blackpink on SBS’ Inkigayo aired on August 14, 2016. 13 days after their debut, they won the first place on Inkigayo, breaking the record for the shortest time a girl group has won on a music program. As part of Square One’s promotions on Inkigayo, they won another win on September 11, 2016.
On November 1, 2016, Blackpink released their second single album Square Two with the lead singles “Playing with Fire” and “Stay.” One of the songs, “Playing with Fire,” was produced by Teddy Park, while the other was by R.Tee and Seo Won Jin. On November 6 and November 10, they performed on Mnet’s M Countdown and Inkigayo. Their second number one single on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart was “Playing with Fire.”. It peaked at number three in South Korea, while “Stay” reached number ten.
