My Heart Will Go On – Celine Dion

My Heart Will Go On

Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you
That is how I know you go on

Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more, you open the door
And you’re here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Love can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime
And never let go ’til we’re gone

Love was when I loved you
One true time I’d hold to
In my life, we’ll always go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on (why does the heart go on?)
Once more, you open the door
And you’re here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

You’re here, there’s nothing I fear
And I know that my heart will go on
We’ll stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart and
My heart will go on and on

About Celine Dion

In 1968, Celine Dion was born in Charlemagne, Québec, about 50 kilometers from Montréal. Her mother Thérèse Tanguay and her father Adhémar Dion had 14 children. Dions were a modest family of modest means, but they never lacked for love. There were so many children in the house that Celine’s mom even had to put her youngest to sleep in a drawer.

In no time at all, the legend had begun…

Music was a passion shared by the entire family. They even formed a group that performed concerts in the area. Throughout her childhood, Celine joined in the fun. Thérèse immediately recognized her baby’s talent. Celine was exceptional among her children, but all of her children were gifted.

With the help of her mother and brother Jacques, she wrote her first song at the age of 12: “Ce n’était qu’un rêve.” But it wasn’t just a dream! Her mother made her dream a reality thanks to her. Thérèse played the song on a cassette for René Angélil. It was because he managed the career of her family’s idol, Québécois singer Ginette Reno, that she chose him. Angélil had just been notified by Reno that she would not require his services anymore. In the midst of realigning his career, he heard the cassette that would change his destiny as well as the destiny of a girl from Charlemagne.

She was invited to an appointment in his office, handed a pencil, and told, “Here’s your microphone.”. “Sing as if you were in front of an audience.” Celine sang. As soon as René met her, he became her biggest fan. This was the beginning of one of the most wonderful artist-manager relationships in show business history.
