The Hills Lyrics – The Weekend

The Hills

Your man on the road, he doin’ promo
You said, “Keep our business on the low-low”
I’m just tryna get you out the friend zone
‘Cause you look even better than the photos
I can’t find your house, send me the info
Drivin’ through the gated residential
Found out I was comin’, sent your friends home
Keep on tryna hide it but your friends know…

I only call you when it’s half past five
The only time that I’ll be by your side
I only love it when you touch me, not feel me
When I’m fucked up, that’s the real me
When I’m fucked up, that’s the real me, yeah…

I only fuck you when it’s half past five
The only time I’d ever call you mine
I only love it when you touch me, not feel me
When I’m fucked up, that’s the real me
When I’m fucked up, that’s the real me, babe…

I’ma let you know and keep it simple
Tryna keep it up don’t seem so simple
I just fucked two bitches ‘fore I saw you
And you gon’ have to do it at my tempo
Always tryna send me off to rehab
Drugs started feelin’ like it’s decaf
I’m just tryna live life for the moment
And all these motherfuckers wanna relapse…

I only call you when it’s half past five
The only time that I’ll be by your side
I only love it when you touch me, not feel me
When I’m fucked up, that’s the real me
When I’m fucked up, that’s the real me, yeah…

I only fuck you when it’s half past five
The only time I’d ever call you mine
I only love it when you touch me, not feel me
When I’m fucked up, that’s the real me
When I’m fucked up, that’s the real me, babe…

Hills have eyes, the hills have eyes
Who are you to judge
Who are you to judge?
Hide your lies, girl, hide your lies
Only you to trust, only you…

I only call you when it’s half past five
The only time that I’ll be by your side
I only love it when you touch me, not feel me
When I’m fucked up, that’s the real me
When I’m fucked up, that’s the real me, yeah…

I only fuck you when it’s half past five
The only time I’d ever call you mine
I only love it when you touch me, not feel me
When I’m fucked up, that’s the real me
When I’m fucked up, that’s the real me, babe…

Ewedihalehu
Yene konjo, ewedihalehu
Yene fikir, fikir, fikir, fikir
Yene fikir, fikir, fikir, fikir

Ewedihalehu
Yene konjo, ewedihalehu…

About The Weekend

As Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, The Weeknd (born February 16, 1990, Toronto, Ontario, Canada), a rhythm-and-blues singer and songwriter best known for his explicit songs about drugs and sex, many of which were autobiographical, and for his soaring falsetto and tremolo.

Tesfaye’s mother and grandmother immigrated to Canada in the 1980s from Ethiopia, and he speaks Amharic as his first language. As a grade 11 student, he quit school and left home to party unrestrainedly. After landing a job at American Apparel, Tesfaye began writing songs about drug use, casual sex, and alienation. As a result, he started working with musician and producer Jeremy Rose. As a result of their collaboration, three atmospheric songs were produced: “The Morning,” “Loft Music,” and “What You Need.” In late 2010, The Weeknd’s songs became popular after they were posted on Drake’s blog. They were credited to The Weeknd; they were uploaded as audio files to YouTube.

Career and Support

With Drake’s support, Tesfaye had greater access to recording opportunities, and by March 2011, he had released a nine-song mixtape called House of Balloons. In addition to receiving critical acclaim, the album was shortlisted for Canada’s Polaris Music Prize. Tesfaye appeared in a Toronto nightclub as The Weeknd for the first time that year. A free mixtape called Thursday and a free mixtape called Echoes of Silence were released by him in 2011. Additionally, he contributed to Drake’s Take Care album in 2011.

Republic Records signed The Weeknd in September 2012. Trilogy, consisting of remastered versions of the songs on the three mixtapes, became a best seller two months later. Despite his fan base, Kiss Land (2013), the Weeknd’s debut studio album, failed to break through.

In response, The Weeknd asked his record company to help him write songs. This led to a working relationship with the hit-making Swedish producer Max Martin and a duet with pop star Ariana Grande, “Love Me Harder.” The song reached number 10 in 2014. On Beauty Behind the Madness (2015), The Weeknd released three more hit singles, “Earned It,” “The Hills,” and “Can’t Feel My Face.” The Weeknd won the Juno Award for artist of the year for the second consecutive year as well as four other Junos, including album of the year. Additionally, he won the Grammy Award for best R&B performance for Earned It, and he won the Grammy Award for best urban contemporary album for Beauty Behind the Madness. Moreover, “Earned It,” which was included on the soundtrack of Fifty Shades of Grey (2015), was nominated for an Academy Award.
